City park and "pancake" (Pest) can keep you entertain for days.
City park with ZOO and more
After a day in aquaworld it is good to get to the city park for a day. Free hotel bus will take you there on a half hour easy ride. With kids, Budapest ZOO is a great visit. It is quite old and infrastructure degrading in too many places. Yet offers really special and close by experience with wide range of animals.
Unfortanetly there is a fun park besides which closed in 2013. There are remains of it which look really bad and I hope in future they manage to renew it. Because together with ZOO it can make a really full day ride.
Even though it is closed, the city park offers much more fun afterwards. Playground and Vajdahunyad Castle will entertain the youngsters for sure. Castle is especially inspiring for all ages due to its architecture that is fairytale like.
City centre and Danube river ride
In case you are on the fast lane like us you can enjoy the same afternoon in city centre. It is just a 5 minutes ride with (continental Europe 1st) underground train to Erzsébet tér. Beside interesting monument, this square offers a big wheel ride with city view. Biggest in Europe according to some sources. Anyway, new and nice ride.
Just 10 minutes walk from there and you are on the banks of Danube river. Take a late ride on the river and enjoy magnificent evening views to the castle of Buda. It will impress everyone in your family.
Hungry and you are not on diet?

Hungry and looking for gluten free?
I have a tested reccomendation (day 3) or the highly reccomended Etna II. Étterem és Pizzéria. Besides pizzas prepared in separate ovens, they offer other gluten free food (pasta, meat,...) which they always prepare separately from other food.
They pay attention to ingredients as well so for sure they are really safe. And important to mention, they have gluten free deserts. :)
