Moving between explore, guides, sites, and search is now instantaneous. With zero page reloads, the interface glides effortlessly as you browse. Importantly for Android users, the native back gesture now reliably keeps you inside the app, navigating your history rather than accidentally closing the browser.
Audio That Follows You
There’s nothing more frustrating than starting a fascinating audio narration, only to have it cut off when you tap to view a photo. Our new persistent player bar lives discreetly in the footer, featuring a pause button and a live seek bar. Your audio guide keeps playing seamlessly while you continue to browse other points of interest.
Built for the Outdoors
Heritage sites aren't always blessed with perfect 5G coverage. The new ARTOUR caches its core app shell and recently viewed images automatically. This means the app opens instantly and keeps working smoothly even when you're wandering through thick forest trails or deep inside historical monuments with a poor connection.

We didn't stop at the architecture. We obsessed over dozens of UX refinements to ensure every interaction feels premium:
- A Welcoming First Launch: We've replaced abrupt permission requests with a short, full-screen welcome video featuring a personal typed greeting. Our onboarding is deliberately polite—never stacking popups. We ask for one thing at a time, and the location permission request waits patiently for its proper turn.
- Friendly Installation Assistant: Instead of an intrusive default browser banner, a helpful assistant bubble now offers to install the app. It provides specific "Share → Add to Home Screen" guidance for iPhone users, and if you say "no," it respectfully remembers your choice.
- Perceived Speed Everywhere: Shimmering placeholders entertain your eyes while images load. Infinite scrolling quietly pre-loads content ahead of your swipe. Lazy-loaded imagery, subtle parallax effects on cards, and smart short-lived caching ensure that revisited screens appear instantly.
- Curated Home Rail: A beautifully designed home rail now seamlessly mixes traditional guides with our community-driven AI stories.
- Breadcrumb Navigation: Never lose your place. Clear breadcrumb trails on site pages make jumping back to the main guide effortless.
- Manners Matter: Our review reminder only appears after you've genuinely used the app, and it will never interrupt you while you are reading a story or chatting with the AI.
- Global Reach: The interface is now fully localized and available in English, Slovenian, Italian, Spanish, and German.
