Slovenian Cemeteries Route was initiated as part of the Week of Discovering European Cemeteries 2026 - a project of Association of Significant Cemeteries of Europe. In only a few days, 10 municipalities joined and identified over 40 points worth visiting.

*Slovenian Cemeteries Route was developed in 2026 by the Chamber of Public Utilities of Slovenia in collaboration with the Association of Significant Cemeteries in Europe (ASCE).
Inspired by the internationally recognised European Cemeteries Route, the project aims to connect Slovenian cemeteries into a unique cultural and tourist network that preserves memory, promotes heritage, and opens cemetery spaces to a wider public.
