During a short vacation on Krk Island, I decided to explore using the ARtour app, and one of the results that stood out was Vrbnik. The main image immediately drew me in, and I knew I had to visit this charming village. As I walked through the narrow streets, every corner revealed a new view, and it felt like a journey through time. At the top of the hill, there’s a church offering stunning views of the old village, the beaches, and the coastline.

On the southeastern edge of the village, you’ll find a hidden beach. To get there, you’ll need to walk down some stairs, but the effort is well worth it. It’s a quiet, secluded spot, perfect for enjoying a sunny day without the crowds.

As I continued to explore Vrbnik, I came across one of its unique features – the narrowest street in the world, Klančić. At just 50 cm wide at its narrowest point, it’s definitely a challenge for anyone who’s not so slim! While some sources claim that the narrowest street is in Reutlingen, Germany, measuring only 31 cm, Klančić still holds its own as a fascinating and narrow passage.

Vrbnik, perched on a hill surrounded by vineyards and sunshine, almost felt like Tuscany. It’s a place where you can simply walk around and immerse yourself in its beauty. The best way to explore is on foot, as there’s a parking area just outside the old village, making it easy to park and enjoy the town at your own pace.

Before leaving, don’t forget to stop by the winery at the village entrance. The terrace offers a breathtaking view, and while the factory roof below might not be the most picturesque, it doesn’t detract from the serene moment. Enjoy a glass of local wine and take in the stunning scenery of Vrbnik from above.
