Galtarossa Monument

Galtarossa Monument

Intercolumniation CLX
The work was created by the sculptor Ruperto Banterle in 1924.

The bronze monument represents three full-length praying angels arranged around a rectangular porphyry slab. The work is influenced by the secessionist atmosphere brought to the city by Felice Casorati.

Curiosity: the Galtarossa family, commissioner of the monument, was the founder of the first Veronese steel factory. The contemporary art gallery Studio la città stands today in correspondence with the ancient workshop.
