Somorrostro Beach is one of the beaches in Barcelona, Spain. It is located between Hospital del Mar and Marina Street, in the far east area of the Barceloneta neighborhood, in the Ciutat Vella district. It is 522 m (length) and 89 m (width).

During the nineteenth century and part of the twentieth, the beach, and much of the neighbouring beach areas, was occupied by a shanty town, inhabited by 15,000 people living in 2,000 slums. Famous dancer Carmen Amaya was born there, and Los Tarantos, a major film about flamenco starring Amaya, was filmed there in 1963. It wasn't until 1966 with a visit of Spanish dictator Francisco Franco that the slum completely disappeared.
The Somorrostro name was forgotten and the beach became one of the most popular in the city. It wasn't until 2010 that Somorrostro beach got its original name back.
