The actress Mira Sardoč was born in Šentilj in the Slovenske gorice region. In was in her birthplace that she came into contact with theatre; already as a four-year-old girl and also later as a teenager she took part in amateur theatre performances. In 1941, Mira Sardoč and her family were deported to Serbia. After returning back to Slovenia, in 1945 she enrolled to the Ekonomski tehnikum school of economics in Maribor. In the 1947/1948 school year, she successfully completed her education and, on the basis of the official order, she was appointed to a job in a bank in Sarajevo. She declined the job and applied for the entrance examination at AIU (today the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television) in Ljubljana.
In September 1952, after the graduation performance at AGRFT, she became employed in the Maribor Drama, then continued her acting career in MGL(the Slovenian Youth Theatre), after which she settled down in the Trieste theatre for 35 years. She started in youthful and emotionally diverse roles, and continued with a varied selection of psychologically complicated female roles. Mira Sardoč worked in Trieste until her retirement in 1990. She played more than 200 roles in the theatre and more than ten roles on the film. She also performed at TV Ljubljana, participated with Radio Trieste A and acted in Slovenian, Yugoslav and Italian films. She received the Borštnik ring award for her artistic contribution and the lifetime achievement recognition of the Slovenian Association of Drama Artists.
