Actress and writer Berta Bojetu Boeta was born on 8 February 1946 in Maribor. She studied at AGRFT in Ljubljana and in 1990 graduated at the Academy of Education. She was a member of the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre since 1979 and co-created in the Ljubljana Koreodrama theatre. She also appeared in films. Her literary works include poems, poetic drama, puppet play and two novels. In 1996 she received the Kresnik award for the novel Ptičja hiša (The Bird House). She also lived in Israel. She is buried in the Jewish cemetery in Žale in Ljubljana.
