Here rests one of the most renowned photographers in Sweden, who with the use of micro cameras captured images of biological processes within the human body.
Nilsson’s career gained international recognition after his photos of human embryos appeared in Life magazine 1965. Nilsson later went on to publish books A Child is Born, A Photographic Journey of Discovery Inside the Body, to name just a few. Nilsson also contributed to the documentary film The Miracle of Life, the first film to record human conception, for that achievement, he received an international Emmy. He was also a court photographer and documented the Swedish Royal House.
