Maid becomes a mayor's wife
Back in 7th century a mayor position belonged to the Vitogoj, whose wife Dragomira was kidnapped by Huns.
He only had one already married daughter Verena and a younger son Taljub. Vitogoj entrusted his son to Negomir - a relative from Klagenfurt to raise him. But in that time Huns were on a plundering raid and that so they also kidnapped a wife of Negomir who was raising Taljub. Later Taljub joined to a march in Byzantine Istria in order to brought her cousin back home. But he knew a girl Eta and took her back in Ptuj, on the Ptuj's castle, where she should serve him. During all that time a man from Croatia Miholič started to live on Borl's hill where he built a "Knežjigrad". When Taljub first time visited him (Miholič) he fall in love with Miholič's daughter Smiljana and later married her. When father from Taljub and city mayor Vitogoj died his son Taljub took over his business and became a mayor. But his luck didn't last for long because his wife Smiljana was murdered and he was heavily hurt. His maid Eta that he knew in Istria and brought to Ptuj took care of him after he returned home. After that Taljub fall in love with his maid Eta and tried to married her. But people didn't agree with the wedding because they couldn't believe that a mayor is trying to married with a maid.
