Painter. He trained at the Academy of Florence and in Rome where he met Canova, then adhering to the neoclassical school. From 1821 he was director of the Accademia Albertina (“Albertina Academy of Fine Arts”). His favorite genres: portrait, mythology, history. His works can be seen at the modern art galleries in Turin, Milan and Nice.
