He signed with the pseudonym of “Golia”. Even as a student he cultivated the caricature. He also devoted himself to ceramics and participated in the exhibitions of decorative arts in Paris and in London. In 1914 he founded the satirical weekly “Numero.” He was a friend of Gozzano. After the second war he married the young artist Alda Besso (Giò Golia).
