Main seat of University of Maribor

The Rectorate, seat of the University of Maribor, is located in the square Slomškov trg in the building of the former town savings bank, Mestne hranilnice. The façade is completely preserved, the interior and the courtyard were between the years 1995 and 2000 newly built.

The University of Maribor is the second biggest and the second oldest university in Slovenia. Around 20 000 students study at the University of Maribor, which was establish back in 19 century. It has 17 faculties which offer undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes. The University of Maribor is a regional developer and its faculties are located not only in the city of Maribor, but also in other parts of Slovenia.

International Relations office | Room 112
The International Relations Office coordinates international academic cooperation at the University of Maribor. To international exchange students it offers counselling and guidance concerning your application procedure, accommodation and integration into the new environment. You are welcome to visit them.
