Good place to have a meal. Staff is friendly and helpful if you have questions about the menu. Go for the prix fix menu for better value. The place is small so place a reservation because it was packed when we dined at a Friday.

My favourite gluten free place to eat. They have a separate menu for gluten free and even make their own, delicious, bread on site each day. I brought my other half here on our first date and have gone back many, many time since!

Wow, I cannot believe this place has 4.4 stars. It was absolutely the worst dining experience I've had in a while and definitely the worst thing we ate in Dublin.
Food was wretched. For appetizers the only thing that was good was the baked cheesy bread, which isn't saying much. I didn't care for the salmon parcel, maybe just a taste I didn't like. the mussels were in a marinara sauce that was bland and watery.
I had the trio of Lamb for dinner. The lamb belly was the only thing edible. The other two, a tenderloin and leg if I remember correctly, were supposed to be seasoned differently but were both drenched in the same sauce that also came on the plate for dipping (the only way to eat the lamb was drenching it in the sauce). I love lamb but this lamb wasn't cooked properly. Barely charred, chewy seasoned poorly. It was easy to tell that it was not quality. The side was something of a vegetable and potato cake with an unbalanced seasoning that was frankly horrible.
The server was rude and unprofessional. I have spent a lot of time in the restaurant industry and I understand that this man wasn't working for tips but it was unacceptable. I ordered a Cote de Rhone, which is a syrah- it should be bold, and spicy, very strong flavors. It tasted like cheap boxed wine and I'm fairly certain it wasn't even a Syrah. I ordered a new wine and told the server I wanted something bolder. He actually scoffed at me, then ran off and brought me another underwhelming wine without telling what it was or anything.
I've worked at a lot of great restaurants. This place is not even close. if your going to spend the money, go to Ryan and FX buckley - that place rules.
By far the worst dining experience of our trip.

Small but cozy. We ordered a vegetarian dish based on goat cheese which was OK but nothing to write home about. There was live guitar music with a singer who wanted to sound like a tormented soul, but he was actually tormenting the poor souls trying to enjoy their dinner. Often so out of tune that it was hard to keep the food down.

I've been here three times now - twice for work "Christmas lunches", and once in the evening for a friend's birthday. Food has always been delicious, and very well presented even when the restaurant is really busy.
Service is friendly but can be a tad slow/chaotic at times - e.g., people being served soup not being given a spoon, or asking for a drink and having to remind the waiter. That said, I've always been in when they've been very busy.
A little on the pricey side, especially drinks. Some bottled craft beers available (Irish Porterhouse, Belgian Chimay and others) but for €5.75 I'd be expecting a 500ml bottle, not a 330ml.
Will be back, though - I intend returning soon for Sunday brunch, which has been recommended to me.
