Location and design
Alongside the field with the Central Cross, in 2016 a simple memorial was built for the body donors.
In the central part there is a glass ball with everlasting light, symbolizing life that continues after death. On the concrete base, made up of 3 separate parts joined together, there are metal plates with names and surnames, the year of birth and the death of the persons who gave their bodies for medical research.
Body donors
The Rijeka School of Medicine has been conducting the program for a number of years now and now has nearly 130 signed statements by citizens who have decided to give their body after death to medical science, thus helping students, scientists and doctors educate.
