The Champ de Mars (Field of Mars) is a public park in the French town of Colmar in Alsace. It lies between the "Place Rapp" north and the buildings of the prefecture of Haut-Rhin in the south.

It lies between the "Place Rapp" north and the buildings of the prefecture of Haut-Rhin in Süden.An the site of the present park there was in 1745 a public promenade, which was outside the walls of the city. This was named in honor of the Alsace Intendant Barthélemy de Vanolles "Le Vanolles".
It was mainly used for military exercises of the National Guard or for public ceremonies. In 1793 it was renamed "Champ de Mars". During the First Empire here 193 Linden were planted. 1808, the northern part was separated and since 1856 as bezeichnet.Der Place Rapp construction of the entire park is reminiscent of the cruciform Legion of Honour. From the main staircase of the prefecture performs a central street to the large square in front of the "Place Rapp".
In the center is on a circular course of the fountain with the statue of Admiral Armand Joseph Bruat. The park is characterized by large green areas that surround the center with the fountain and the statue. This ensemble was created by in 1864 by the sculptor Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi. The fountain represents the allegories of the four continents, the fountain has a system that allows a continuous water jet. The statue of Admiral overlooks the statue of General Jean Rapp, standing on the square called after him Rapp. This was also made by Bartholdi. The fountain was destroyed in 1940 during the World War II by the Nazis, however, parts of the fountain and the statue could be saved.
A new fountain was designed by the architect Michel Porte and sculptor Gérard Choain and inaugurated in 1958. The statue has also been restored and integrated. The park is the largest in Europe and Carousel Salon next to a kiosk offering drinks and confectionery.
There are in the park also a children's playground.
