The Square of freedom

The Square of freedom

The square of freedom is surrounded by more than 400 year-old houses where craftsmen once lived.
In the past, this was the venue for trade fairs, people gathered here on daily basis. During the last renovation, a fountain was placed in the middle of the square. Below the Hill of Mali grad a passage was built by the Germans in 1938 in order to store their weapons. Later, it was used as a shelter.
