Prašnikar Manor

Prašnikar Manor

In the late 19th century, Prašnikar Manor in the village of Mekinje formed a part of Alojz Prašnikar Estate.

Alojz Prašnikar owned a well-known spa resort (back then named Kurhaus) which was built at the confluence of Kamniška Bistrica River and Nevljica River. The resort was famous for using the Kneipp method of healing treatments. The complex included a number of residential villas for spa guests, spa facilities and walking paths. The Prašnikar Manor was renovated in 2009 by Skok family. The building has a multi-purpose hall, which can also be rented for various occasions. The Kršmanec park, once a part of the Prašnikar Estate, is today a well-visited park with children’s playground at Kamniška Bistrica.
