Aquarium-Terrarium Maribor

The Aquarium-Terrarium Maribor is located in the City park and it is very interesting to visit for both children and adults.

Aquarium
The Maribor aquarium was established in 1953 and it is one of the best known in southern and central Europe. 39 large aquariums imitate river, lake and sea environments from all corners of the world. You will be able to admire 120 species of fish: piranha, exotic tropical fish and those that come from the Adriatic sea.

Terrarium
The terrarium does not have such a long tradition as the aquarium but it has still become the pride of Aquarium-Terrarium Maribor. Here you can see more than 100 species of reptiles, amphibians, insects and the most poisonous snakes in the world. You can also see iguanas, lizards and the courageous terrapins that lie carefree on the crocodiles.
