Rooted in the Cultural Routes of Europe

Since 1987, the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme has shown how heritage connects people across borders. Today, dozens of certified routes cross more than 60 countries – telling shared European stories of art, faith, industry, landscape and memory.

The Crossroads of Cultural Routes in Slovenia brings this European idea home: it maps the places where routes meet, and turns every crossroad into a doorway between stories. A visitor who arrives on one route leaves with a reason to follow another.

A Call to Cultural Routes: Join the Crossroads

Do you manage or represent a cultural route, a heritage network or a destination that lives on the crossroads of stories? This project is built to grow – and every new partner adds new crossroads, new audiences and new opportunities for everyone in the network.

Recognition Across Europe

Your route gains visibility as part of a joint national project – promoted at fairs, events and campaigns, and presented side by side with the Cultural Routes of Europe story.

Institutional Network

Become part of a network that cooperates with government bodies and EU institutions – a partnership that opens doors which are hard to open alone.

Future Project Potential

A ready-made consortium of routes is a strong applicant for future European and national calls – from culture and tourism to education and digital innovation.

Shared Digital Platform

Insert your points of interest once – and reuse them in the mobile app, on websites and info points. Costs and development are shared across the whole network.

Alone, a route tells one story. Together, at the crossroads, we tell the story of Europe.

Behind the project stands a team with 25+ years of experience in digital marketing and 15+ years of managing an official Cultural Route of the Council of Europe. New partners receive hands-on support: help with content preparation, member accounts, initial points of interest and promotion – so joining is simple, even for small teams.

Bring Your Route to the Crossroads

Tell us about your route, your heritage and your crossroads. We will show you how your stories fit into the network, what recognition and support you gain – and how we can apply for future opportunities together.
