First trees in Maribor's city park were planted in 1869 and in 1872.
But did you know that:
Almost a quarter of trees still originates from the time of the first planting in 1869
Nowaday there are more than 130 species of native and foreign trees in this for tourists very popular Park.
New trees in city Park
On the occasion of the 100th birthday of Maribor's Olympic champion Leon Štukelj in 1998 exactly one hundred trees were planted in the park.
