Actor and writer Branko Miklavc was born in Ljubljana. From 1950 to 1982, he was a member of the Ljubljana Dramaactors’ ensemble. He was a character actor with an expressive sense of comedy. Along with regular engagement in the primary repertory theatre, he performed his own pantomimes and solo plays. He appeared in Slovenian films and on television, and in 1993 he wrote the novel Borut and Kurt. He was known as Pomarančnik in his own solo play.
