About the cemetery

San Sebastià is a modernist cemetery situated opposite the beach with the same name. It forms a group of funerary art that belongs to the end of 19th and beginings of 20th century.
Differents pantheons are built, lots of them belong to the people who emigrated to America last century looking for fortune, such us Alejo Vidal Cuadras (considered one of the main pantheon), Jaume Brassó or Manel Robert Aldrofeu. It also has a pantheons thet belong to sculptors and painters such Pere Jou, Josep Cros Juliana or Joaquin Sunyer. All this pieces of art were created by known sculptors such us Antoni Cartró, Josep Llimona, Enric Sagnier, Pere Jou or Manel Fluxà, this last considered one of aour best funerary sculptors.

Monday-Friday: 9am-1:30pm.

Cemetery Opening hours:
Winter: Monday-Saturday: 9am-1pm and 3pm-6pm. Sunday and holidays: 9am-1pm.
Summer: Monday-Saturday: 8am-1pm and 3pm-5pm. Sunday and holidays: 9am-13.30pm.
