A piano. A violin.

The Piano and Violin Shaped Building was designed by the students of architectural design faculty of Hefey University of Technology with help of designers of the company "Huainan Fangkai Decoration Project Co" in 2007.
Different modern materials have been used, mostly the black and transparent glass. The building entrance is through a great violin in which there is an escalator that lifts people into a "grand piano". The piano and violin were built to a scale of 50:1.

There is a breadboard model inside house that displays various city plans and development prospects in an effort to draw interest into the recently developed area.

This building is built for music lovers acts as a performance and practicing place to music students from the local college. Because of its unique shape, it has become a popular tourist destination. Tourists can admire the king and queen of musical instruments, which stand proudly in a classic contrast of black and white. Otherwise, local people have dubbed it "the most romantic building in China".
