Belgramoni-Tacco Palace

Belgramoni-Tacco Palace

Built in the 17th century, Belgramoni-Tacco Palace is one of the most beautiful Baroque palaces in Koper.

After the First World War, it was the seat of the City History and Art Museum.

Today, it is the seat of the Koper Regional Museum, keeping precious cultural heritage of north Istria from the prehistoric period onwards, with the emphasis upon the Venetian cultural circle.

The palace has two names because it was gambled one night by a member of the Belgramoni family and became property of the Tacco family.

After the extinction of the Taccos, the building was assigned by the municipality to cultural activities.
