The photos describe it well. Old building within park grounds, not been renovated recently. And has thus lost some of its grandeur and charm. Crowded with too many tourists on hot days (you could try chillier days or evenings, unless a club with DJS has been scheduled!). Not relaxing due to crowds, but if you happen to be in the neighbourhood and can spare the overpriced entrance fee, then why not try this out?!

Found it interesting and enjoyable. They are definitely not like a luxury spa, but are great of you think of them as a fancy baths. The pools had a range of different temperatures and various sizes. Staff are not fluent in English so we had done research before turning up eventually ending up at the door that lead to the cabins, these are small for two people but get the job done. Worth visiting if you get the chance.

Mixed feelings about Szechenyi furdo - there's a wide variety of pools (3 outdoor, many indoors) but when we visited at Easter it was pretty busy and this made it hard to find space indoors. Without doubt it's a worthwhile experience to visit the thermal bath, but don't set your expectations too high!

Contrary to what most people here have said, my mum and I were actually rather disappointed with our experience. We were told there are two types of tickets, standard one where you change in a shared changing room and lock your stuff in a locker, or a slightly more expensive one where you get your own 'cabin' for getting changed and storing your items securely. When we got there we couldn't see any signage about where to go. Staff just seemed to leave you to your own device. How were we supposed to know we had to use our wristband to get a cabin assigned by the machine?! Anyway we finally got to the 'cabins' and turned out it was a tiny cubicle, smaller than a toilet cubicle, very pooly lit so you could barely see where to hang your clothes. There weren't any lights on one in the one assigned to my mum which makes changing impossible so in the end she had to use mine. The outdoor pool you see on most websites is beautiful but that's the only beautiful pool you get. True there are lots of indoor ones but they are much smaller which fits maybe 8 people (and trust me you wouldn't want to go in if 4 happy couples are in there), and they don't look very clean. We spent 20 mins in the outdoor pool and left, feeling very underwhelmed and disappointed.

This themral baths are really incredible. There are not near to the center, but you can get there with the metro. The outdoors part it's relaxing, fun, and there is bar to drink beers or whatever you want. All the indoor installations are also great. I did enjoyed a lot this place!
