Budapest with Family in 4 Days
This was my third time visiting Budapest—the city of bridges, stunning architecture, thermal baths, and remnants of communism. Spanning about 25 x 27 kilometers, it’s split by the mighty Danube River into Buda (right side) and Pest (left side).

I always enjoy returning, but this time was all about family fun. Our six-year-old son loves excitement—rollercoasters, water slides, animals, and any activity that lets parents catch their breath while he climbs, explores, and discovers new adventures.
In this guide, I’ve gathered all the fun spots we enjoyed together. And here’s a little secret for the foodies—if you’re not on a diet, try what’s said to be the best chimney cake in Budapest. 😊
