2018 – 2019:

Key Improvements for ARtour

In the last two years, we’ve made a series of important, necessary, and useful changes to improve ARtour. These updates aim to enhance user experience, ensure privacy, and provide even more value to our community.

Here are the highlights of what’s new:

1. Expanded Accessibility: Italian Language Added

To make ARtour more accessible, we’ve added Italian to the list of supported languages in the mobile app. Now, more users can enjoy a seamless experience in their native language.

2. Tests Made Easy

We’ve streamlined how users can complete and manage tests directly within the app. This update makes it easier to track your progress and learn while exploring new places.

3. Projects at Your Fingertips

Managing and displaying your projects has never been easier. With the new project display feature, you can now organize, showcase, and collaborate on your guides, all within the app.

4. A Fresh Look: Redesigned Introductory Page

The introductory page has undergone a makeover! We’ve made it more intuitive and visually appealing, so new users can quickly dive into the app and start their journey.

5. Stronger Privacy and Data Protection (GDPR Compliance)

User privacy is a top priority for us. We’ve implemented important GDPR compliance updates to ensure better data protection and transparency about how your personal information is handled.

6. Goodbye Facebook Login, Hello Simplicity

In the interest of improving security and streamlining the login process, we’ve removed the “Sign in with Facebook” option. Now, logging in is quicker and safer.

7. Performance Enhancements for a Smoother Experience

Behind the scenes, we’ve made several performance upgrades:

  • Android API updates for smoother operation
  • New explicit permission requests for better security
  • Kainoto Analytics now replaces Google Analytics for more accurate app insights
  • Various bug fixes and improvements to enhance stability and speed
