We visited this restaurant last thursday at 3 pm. We sat down to a free table and waited 20 mins until a waiter came up. We asked for the menu. He disappeared and nothing happened for another 15 mins and we saw him serving other tables. Then when another waiter passed by I called him and asked for the menu. He started to say something in very bad English that they are not serving food and the kitchen is broken and there is only one cook, etc. Yet, a group of old ladies just had a decent lunch at another table and when another couple showed up they were seated and immediately handed two menucards. Also the full menu was on display in front of the restaurant. I asked for at least a fruit salad, which was consumed by others next to us, but he refused, so we stood up and left. Why did not the first waiter tell us there was no food? How come others were served and we were told there was no kitchen? We did not get any explanation, the waiter was rude and spoke very bad English. I do not recommend anyone to go to this restaurant.

Very pleasant place with peaceful lovely terrace with tall orange trees. Food was very good — pear & cheese salad, red noodles with cuttlefish, grilled squids. Menu for 15 euros.

We stumbled across the place last Sunday hoping for a late lunch after a few hours of walking around Parc Montjuic. It looked idyllic. You really can't fault the setting - it's peaceful, there's a great view of Barcelona from high up, and the tidy, inviting terrace is dotted with tall citrus trees. There was a sign at the entrance asking customers to wait to be seated. We waited a few minutes and tried the catch the eye of several waiters. They basically ignored us. Another group came after us, and promptly seated themselves. Seeing as they didn't get told off for it, we found ourselves a table outside as well. A waiter came up and we asked for 2 menus. We were told they stopped serving food and he started walking away with an annoyed look on his face. I stopped him and asked for 2 beers instead. The waiter's manner was incredibly abrupt. As he returned with our drinks, i spotted another table enjoying some olives. I asked if we could have some too. I have never felt I have inconvenienced staff to this extent. The waiter let out a HUGE sigh, and started with "Listen,...". I honestly thought he was about to tell us to get lost! Instead he grudgingly said we could have some olives or crisps. I should say that at the same time we noticed several groups coming past, waiting dutifully at the sign, being ignored and gradually wandering away with a confused look. I don't see why the waiters were so rude. If they put a sign saying Please wait to be seated, then they shouldn't ignore people who are doing just that. Additionally, considering there were many customers tucking into meals around us, i don't see why he was so offended when we asked for menus or wanted nibbles (they had probably just stopped serving, because we saw the last few main courses taken to a table next to us about 5 minutes after we sat down). The food looked/smelled delicious too. I don't fault them for having stopped serving, but they need to lose the attitude!
